Mrs. Idaho, United States 2009 and The Land of Nod
Learning Center are together offering $60,000 in
childcare and preschool scholarships to City of
Eagle Employees or Personal Business Owners.
Due to the economic challenges the city of Eagle is
facing now with many city employees taking pay cuts,

The Land Of Nod does accept ICCP, the Idaho Child
Care Program. This is a government program that,
based on financial need, pays up to 97% of their
family's childcare cost. Especially for families
with limited resources, the combination of whatever
percentage for which they'd qualify with ICCP
coupled with an Economic Hardship Scholarship their
childcare or preschool could be fully covered at no
out of pocket costs to the family. At a time when
our valley's families are struggling financially as
they are this is a wonderful life preserver. Help
spread the word.
In February of this year
Kristen Rossow, owner of The Land of Nod Learning
Center in Eagle, won the title of Mrs. Idaho, United
States (see
www.mrsunitedstates.com).
Her platform is titled “Sunshine After Rain” and
with the economic crisis that we all are facing, one
of her priorities is to aid the Treasure Valley
through her center.
She and her husband David have
been working to gain non-profit status for their
center and are pleased to announce that beginning
Wednesday July 29th they will begin
reviewing applications for Economic Hardship
Scholarships. Their goal is to provide scholarships
to 25 families valley wide, worth up to a total of
$60,000 through 2009.
To encourage employment, the
center accepts ICCP and is eager to make childcare
and preschool available to all regardless of the
financial challenges many families are experiencing.
Please view our
parent handbook
and
also download a
scholarship application.
